Where is He?
"Saying, Where is he that is born King of the
Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship
him." Matt. 2:2
T
here are two great goals of life. These and all
truly wise men have taken them as their great ambition. First we must
find him. Then we must mind him. The magi followed the star over great
distances on a quest driven by the question: WHERE? Where is the king?
Although Herod looked like a king, and even held
the title "King of the Jews," the wise men knew better.
They were looking for more. Most are satisfied when fooled by the Herods of this world. We often settle for something less than God. Their quest was to find him.
Finding him is only the first part. First we must
find him, then we must mind him. Herod wanted to find him (2:8), but he
was certainly not willing to mind him.
Many will open their Bibles, attend church
services, and listen to sermons who will not find him. because God knows
they will not mind him. Trust and Obey today.
If thy light shall lead the way
And guide me to thy Son
Then I shall bow my head and pray
In me thy will be done
