A Sight To See

Although the sight of jasper walls
will be a welcome sight
and gates of pearl will sparkle
in the place where is no night

Although I've heard it all my days
of streets of purest gold,
in heav'n there is much to see
or so I have been told.

But when I cross the stormy bank
and leave this world behind,
'tis one sight alone I long to see
with all who once were blind.

For all the sights in heaven
'tis not the crown nor stars,
but sight of greatest wonder
shall be two hands with scars
