Herod was a liar, angry, cold, and cruel
When the Wisemen stood before him
they stood before a fool.
“Bring me word when finding him,
so I may worship too,”
this one, “so-called” in Bethlehem
you call King of the Jews.
Herod was the Lyin-King
calloused, cursed, uncouth,
would to the end to darkness cling,
rejecting Light, and Life, and Truth.  -id
