Elijah’s Rain
Elijah put his wood in order
No matches, kerosine
Then drenched the wood with water
Which may have seemed extreme
Then in faith he bowed his head
And simply spoke to God
Faith stands alone on what God said
With God, nothing is too hard
Unlike worldly priests of Baal,
he did not dance or yell.
Good over evil will prevail.
He said, Amen, and fire fell
Then seven times he bowed again
to the Lord who is still the same
Who overrules, What, Where and When
The drought was broken, it began to rain. -id
