Drain the Swamp

Bureaucrats and sycophants
Democ-rats and Republi-can’ts
snakes and leaches, crocs and gaters
rotten logs and agitators
watch them howl, and curse and stomp
as someone tries to drain their swamp.  -id

Jesus had to face a Deep State as well as the forces of Darkness. The Deep state are those who wield power and thus will do everything possible to preserve their station and status quo. Jesus dismissed the typical endorsements, protocols and traditions of men and brought a new message about a new beginning and a new birth and a kingdom where the first would be last and the last would be first. Few understood this spiritual realignment. His message of hope to the nobodies and have-nots awakened forces to discredit, disable, or destroy the messenger. His declaration that he was the Way, the Truth, and the Life also made it clear to all other “so-called” experts on God that they were not. America is witnessing a “resistance, and underground movement” that is throwing evil monkey wrenches into the gears of all that God calls good. Fifty years of liberalism, with all its lies, and its religion of “Self-Esteem,” has raised an entire host of humanity busy building their own Towers of Babel. The Church is not called to be social engineers building bridges to nowhere, but when given the opportunity to speak, silence is sin. Paul described it an important ministry as “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity, every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Of course, in another place we are told to “speak the truth in love.” The swamp people are not shy to promote the abomination of abortions, redefine gender, marriage and morality, they are not afraid to encourage or wink at substance abuse, or mock God or the need to maintain law and order. Solomon said there is a time to be silent and a time to speak. Wisdom is knowing the difference. -id
