Our Passing
Does it
really matter
how much pain she felt
when once she holds
within her arms the
joy that makes her melt
When at last
she sees the
face long hidden in the womb
and lays the baby in his place
and forgets all fear of doom
Now little
eyes look up in hope
To all before unseen
And they with little fingers grope
To learn what all things mean
Discover,
taste, and touch, and smell
To see, to hear, to feel
We wish you peace, we wish you well
May you find a faith that’s real
And quickly
learn that God is good
And live for Him each day
And always do the best you could
As to heaven you pass this way
