Each must see that burning bush
or hear God’s voice in temple’s night
or feel the Spirit’s gentle push
or see like Saul the blazing light
God has a will for every man
and a special call for all
yet without grace no sinner can
walk upright since the fall.
But grace brings each unto the cross
where they can see and hear
God’s word and count the loss
of sin in holy fear
and in that moment man can turn
and see God’s saving still
and in the love of Jesus learn
God’s wonder and God’s will. -id
