a book mite

I saw a mite walk across God’s word
and wondered if it ever heard
that God is good and God is love
or has a home for souls above;
if it can read or if it thinks;
if it gets thirsty or ever drinks.
Does it know the cost man to redeem
as it crawled across John 3:16?
What Jesus did to save lost man,
as it lived in the book that tells God’s Plan?
Then I thought of lost souls blind and not finding
what’s under their nose
as they live in the binding. -id
