Day Dreams
On to Abu Bhabi, then off to Timbuktu
an African Safari, then on to something new
a great imagination in a little boy so small
each day a great sensation with flags and bugle call
inspect the ranks and regiment, as colors pass review
then marching off to Mafeking, in duty brave and true
every boy a hero to be knighted by the king
no limit to adventure or what the day will bring
one day on the equator, the next at the North Pole
once fight an alligator, then score the winning goal
But dreams must not be master as Rudyard Kipling said
grown men can too be dreamers, ideas can fill their head
but never seen, or did or won, if the dreamer stays in bed.
