Merry X-mas

Did we forget why Jesus came
and from “Xmas,” remove His name
make “Merry Christmas” against the law
and forget what Jesus Christ came for?

One more gadget, one more thing
something Santa Clause might bring
down the chimney sack in hand
filled with stuff from China land

or from sweat shops far away
for us to wear on Christmas day
painted toys so full of lead
a wonder that St.Nick’s not dead?

Now Wall Street Wise men not so wise
and CEO’s who can’t surmise
just how to peddle all their stuff
When the God of Christmas says,
“enough’s enough.”    id
