Magi

Who were these Magi, men of yore
who stood before this man of war
and looked deep into Herod’s eyes
and would not yield or compromise
until they found the “Holy King”
to give the treasures  that they bring

They saw His star while in the East
and loaded tribute on their beast
and traveled long both night and day
to find just where the child did lay

And when they found the Christ at last
The Word God promised in the past
They worshiped Jesus, Prince and Prize
when they rose they were truly wise -id
