Gifts

 I praise Thee Lord for light
and the gift You gave called sight
I thank Thee, You also gave the ear
with an ability to hear
so I could listen as well as talk,
and feet, so I with friends could walk.

I thank Thee, for these common senses;
to these things add: smell and touch-
for present, past and future tenses,
I have from Thee, So much!

 But there are things we cannot measure
Though more real as time and space
they bring to us the greatest pleasure
God’s Son, New Life, and Grace.
