Higher Law

The bar of law is set so high
I fail before I even try
If every ounce of weight I bore
I find to this is added more
It’s not the law that is no good
but rather law of flame and wood
no one could life by merit earn
for, get too close, and it will burn
It cannot help but sinners kill
Christ alone could all fulfill
He the God-Man, Perfect Son
Upon the cross could say, “It’s done.”
