One More Day

With a meal we join the chorus
To lift a song and sacred praise
We remember that Christ died for us
As the memorial cup we raise

Now we turn our hearts in worship
And think of cross and crimson flow
We take His kind hand of friendship
Still deep scarred from his walk below

The bread, a simple token
Is taken, passed and shared
To remember the bleeding, bruised,
the broken
The Blessed Christ who cared

One more week the closer heaven
One more "yes" to his command
One more day the best in seven
One day closer the golden strand
