Not without some effort,
but not without God’s aid
Sometimes through the desert,
the valley or the glade.

Where he leads me, I will follow
Where he sends me, I will go.
If I sail, his winds I’ll borrow,
or he’ll give me strength to row.

For God is always faithful,
and His word and doctrine’s true.
Yes, He gives grace to the humble,
but in each doctrine, there’s a “do.”   -id
