Mobile Home

This old body is a mobile home,
this world a trailer park
rusting, dented, worn by years
sits up on cinder block

groaning against the rush of wind
leaking in the storm
slowly dying since Adam sinned
and from the day that I was born.

No, this old world is not my home,
Down here I’ve only rented;
all I’ve ever had, on loan
since I believed Him and repented.

Pride and sin are over priced
and I too poor to pay,
I thank the Father for Jesus Christ
God’s Son who paid my way.

Christ died for me and rose again
and this for me has Proved
one day when here I’ve breathe my last
I did not die, just moved.   -id
