Having Lived in God’s Goodness
I have lived in many places
Crowded cities and open spaces
But in God’ s Word I’ve found what grace is
As I live in the goodness of God
I’ve learned to live and be abased
And also to abound
With God’s help I’ve trouble faced
And in God’s goodness grace I’ve found.
To mountain tops and through dark valleys
vast promenades and very narrow alleys
In God’s goodness I’ve seen God’s glory
Whether Summer-sunshine or winter’s fury.
And come what may, yes I’ve understood
I know God worked all things for good
before the empty tomb I've stood
and see for me, God did all He could
I opened the Good Book, and by God’s grace I found
On the cross Christ took my place and a grace that abounds
I found Good Will, Good News, Good hands extended
In All that God gave, was only Good intended.
by grace, this sinner Christ has befriended
and as I walked by faith He always defended
I have lived in the Goodness of God
Yes, I have lived in many places,
but the best is where I found God's grace is.
In Christ I've lived in the Goodness of God
yes, I've lived in the Goodness of God
