The Father Seeketh Such (Jn.4:23)

What is spirit, what is truth?
except the fruit, the seed the root
the idyllic heart, the tree of life
as real as Adam and Eve his wife,
who walked with God in wedded bliss
and worshipped God, a grateful kiss;
for God is love and love is God’s,
and what is precious, a wise man guards.
That God should seek man’s worship thus
is because God wants the best for us.  -id
