Good Came Down

"Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.  How excellent is thy loving - kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings." Ps 36:5,6,7)

G

od's mercy is as great as the heavens.  God's mercy is as large as man's longing eye can see.  The stores of Grace are as large as space and God's love as large as he.  These verses leave us breathless.  God is so great.  His faithfulness also defies all attempts to measure it.  It reaches "unto the clouds."  His righteousness is as the highest mountain and his judgments deeper than the sea.  This picture of God's greatness is greater still for it captures a largeness in a little word that describes the Almighty.  God is kind.

One may love from "afar," but in order to be kind we much come close.  To be kind to someone we must touch them.  Two thousand years ago,  God came down, and good came down and was Kind.
